What your membership includes

A full medical assessment

An EU-licensed doctor reviews your questionnaire, health history and current medicines. If medication is appropriate, they issue an e-prescription for a pharmacy; if not, they explain why.

A plan that fits your life

Nutrition, activity and sleep goals agreed with your doctor and adjusted as you go. Medication, when used, supports these changes and never replaces them.

Monthly follow-up

Before each renewal your doctor checks how you are doing, reviews any side effects and decides what comes next. Nothing changes automatically.

Messaging and your account

Write to your doctor in a private chat, follow your progress and keep your documents in one place, on any device.

Care that continues after the first visit

When side effects appear. Stomach upsets such as nausea or constipation are common with some weight-loss medicines, mostly early on. Tell your doctor in the chat and they can adjust your plan.

A long-term view. Excess weight is a chronic condition. Your doctor helps you make decisions that hold up over months, not weeks.

Planning what comes next. Whether you continue, change your plan or stop, your doctor helps you prepare for the next step.

FAQs

Questions about weight care

Safety4 questions
Is weight-loss medication safe?
GLP-1 medicines are authorised in the EU and have been studied in large trials. A doctor screens your history for contraindications before prescribing.
Message your doctor in your account chat at any time. For severe or sudden symptoms, call 112.
Insulin and sulfonylureas need extra care. The questionnaire asks about everything you take.
These medicines are not prescribed during pregnancy, while trying to conceive or while breastfeeding. A personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer, or a past episode of pancreatitis, can also rule some of them out. The questionnaire asks about all of this, and if treatment isn't right for you, the doctor explains why and your fee is refunded.
About the treatment8 questions
Which weight-loss medicines can a doctor prescribe?
Depending on your health, a doctor may consider weekly or daily injectable medicines, a daily tablet or capsules taken with meals. They decide case by case, and sometimes the answer is no.
Generally adults with a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 and above with a weight-related condition such as high blood pressure or type 2 diabetes. The questionnaire checks this first.
Nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting and constipation, mostly while the dose is being increased. Your doctor explains what to expect and you can message them at any time.
Yes. Weight tends to return after stopping, so your doctor helps you plan it.
Yes. Some options are taken by mouth, as a daily tablet or as capsules with meals. Your doctor explains which, if any, fits your situation.
You answer a 5-minute questionnaire about your weight, health and medicines. An EU-licensed doctor reads it, may ask follow-up questions in the private chat in your account, and prescribes only if appropriate. If treatment is approved, your e-prescription appears in your account in under 2 hours on average, and you collect and pay for the medicine at a pharmacy of your choice.
Yes. Changes to eating, activity and sleep are the foundation of any plan, and for some people they are enough on their own. Medicine is added to these changes, not used instead of them. If an in-person assessment suits you better, for example with your GP or a specialist obesity service where options such as surgery are discussed, your doctor tells you.
GLP-1 medicines are usually started at a low dose and increased step by step over several weeks, which helps limit side effects. You only move up when your doctor agrees, based on how you are feeling. If side effects are hard to manage, the doctor can keep you on the same dose for longer or step back down.
My plan4 questions
€49 every 28 days for the ongoing plan, or €49 for a one-time consultation. The medicine is paid separately at the pharmacy.
Yes, anytime from your account. Your plan simply stops at the end of the current cycle.
We refund that period's €49 fee and cancel the plan, automatically.
Before every 28-day renewal, you tell your doctor how you are getting on, including your weight and any side effects. Your doctor reviews it and decides whether to continue, adjust your dose or pause. Changes are never automatic, and if the doctor can't approve the renewal, that period's €49 fee is refunded and the plan is cancelled.

Why people choose Docalo

  • A named, EU-licensed doctor reviews every case.
  • Refunded in full if a doctor declines your assessment.
  • E-prescriptions accepted at pharmacies across the EU.
  • One clear monthly price; medication is paid at the pharmacy.
  • Cancel anytime from your account.
Full refund if not approved
If a doctor declines your assessment or a review, we refund that month's €49 membership fee within 48 hours and cancel the membership.
Your membership covers the assessment, your plan, follow-up and messaging. Medication, if prescribed, is paid at the pharmacy, never to Docalo.
Cancel from your account; your membership stops at the end of the current month.
If the doctor does not approve your consultation or review, the refund is issued within 48 hours and you do not need to ask for it. It goes back to your original payment method; how soon it shows on your statement depends on your bank.
It covers the Docalo fee for the consultation or review that was not approved. The medicine is never paid to Docalo: you pay your pharmacy for it, so it is not part of a refund from us. Once the medical review has started, the legal right of withdrawal no longer applies, so any other request is reviewed individually.
Refunds for consultations the doctor does not approve are automatic. For anything else, write to hello@docalo.com and tell us what happened. We review every request individually and pay approved refunds to the original payment method.
Every condition, including cancellation and the right of withdrawal, is set out in the refund policy and the terms of service. Both are always available in the Legal section of the website.
